Patty has been a member of MacManiacs.org for a long time and has traveled great distances to support Tristan and see him perform. She saw Dance Temptation at the Fallsview Casino Resort on August 16 and was kind enough to share that experience with us. Thank you, Patty!

It was a great show! I’ll try to give everyone a short recap.  The theatre is quite nice.  It is separate from the casino and holds a decent crowd but not too big.  David Hernandez from American Idol narrated the show.  It was loosely based on a story of star crossed lovers (Tristan and Peta) as they worked out their relationship. Tristan and Peta danced short versions of a Paso, Argentine Tango, Rumba, and something else.

Tristan danced with the entire corps in the first number of the night to “Proud Mary.” He just lit up the stage.  Remember the bad boy in the Rumba with Nancy Grace? That was him.

There were an amazing number of dance numbers with various other dancers including one from SYTYCD.  I apologize that I forgot his name but he did a lot of hip hop and had a great sense of humor.  Peta was lovely and wore some gorgeous costumes.

All of the dancers were exceptional – they were all American or World Champions, and it showed.  The show lasted a little over an hour and some of the dancers were on stage for a vast majority of the time.  You have to have a lot of stamina for this type of show.

Both vocalists were quite good.  The female was Holly Tucker who was on The Voice.  Sorry but there was no program and I haven’t watched American television in a very long time so I’m a little fuzzy on the names.

There is at least one other dancer in the show who is on Strictly this coming season, so Tristan won't be the only one playing catch up.  Tristan says they've been studying videos of the pro dances which the others have already started rehearsing. Apparently they are learning all of the pro dances first and then will just have to review them the week they will perform them.  Makes sense to me.  I wasn't able to meet Tristan that night [Saturday, August 16] but was fortunate enough to talk to him this morning [Sunday, August 17] and he seems to be pretty happy staying busy and gainfully employed through at least December.  It truly is a joy to watch him on stage.  I hope I will have the opportunity to watch Strictly via YouTube this season.

It was a terrific show start to finish. Thanks for writing it up. I hope we get to see Tristan and Peta dance together more often.
